Speech-Language Evaluations and Services We Provide

Evaluations:

Speech Sound Disorders: We evaluate articulation and phonological patterns that affect speech intelligibility using standardized measures such as the GFTA-3 and KLPA-3.

Language Disorders (Receptive & Expressive): Receptive and expressive language skills are assessed among others to evaluate comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence structure using tools such as the CELF-5, PLS-5, EVT, and PPVT.

Early Intervention & Developmental Language Evaluations: Early communication and language development in infants and young children are assessed using age-appropriate measures, including the PLS-5.

Fluency (Stuttering) Evaluations: Fluency evaluations assess stuttering patterns and severity using the SSI-4, supported by speech samples and clinical observations.

 Social Communication/Pragmatic Language Evaluations: Pragmatic language and social interaction skills are evaluated using the CELF Pragmatic Profile, structured tasks, and clinical observation.

Feeding and Swallowing Evaluations: Feeding and swallowing evaluations examine oral-motor function, feeding skills, and safety through clinical examination, observation, and caregiver interview. Instrumental studies are referred out as needed.

Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) Evaluations: AAC evaluations focus on recommending appropriate supports to enhance communication across settings.

Bilingual Speech and Language Evaluations: Culturally and linguistically appropriate evaluations are provided in English and Spanish using tools such as PLS-5 Spanish and CELF-5 Spanish, along with dynamic assessment and language sampling.
